Bird Cage

Howdy!

Call me: Nat. That’s my lovely e-name given by a lovely friend of mine who also gave great advantages developing my e-home, Bird Cage.

Bird Cage is a name of a decent european wine bar & restaurant placed in downtown Jakarta, around Jl. Wijaya. Obviously that is not the reason why I put that title here. But simply just because the phrase came up over and over across my head during my recent visit to Oh La La Cafe, Cikini, while waiting for my friend stuffing with the hosting and domain things.

There were a few bird cages hanging on the ceiling of the cafe, each of those had a lamp inside. Weird, I thought. Unique, at the same time, as well. Cage, on the other hand, always reminds me of barrier, any kind of barriers, that often we -human being- overmisuse to keep staying around our own comfort zone rather than running out and exploring the glorious truth beyond the wall.

About myself, Nat, I work for a radio station in the capital of this land of paradise, Indonesia. The capital city, Jakarta, has been my hometown since four years ago, 2005, and God only knows until when it will be. I serve my company both as a producer and radio anchor.

Working in radio has been my passion since the first time I found my “talent” -if I could say so- in the middle of getting lost during the painful process of seeking what I wanted to do in life and where I wanted to go in the future. Thanks to english and basketball which became my main reason when I decided to apply for a radio announcer position in one of major youth radio stations in Bandung, my previous hometown.

Business, specifically entrepreneurship, has been my other interest, or shall I speak, my other great destination.
